without your IOKit Patch my 4K external Display works only with full 4K Support at the Displayport Plug on the Notebook, but not the two on the Dockingstation there is only 1080p.
with your IOKit Patch my 4K external Display works on every DisplayPort Plug with 4K.
But when I start the System (cold start) it need many times before the Displays (Notebook and external 4k Display) stand still. I see on SYS\Displays in the Notebook Display that the external Display (Connect - Disconnect - Connect - Disconnect......... ) and after 2-3 minutes the Display stand still and i have a Signal on the 4K Display and everything is fine and after System restart too. The Problems are only with cold Start.
Sorry for my Bad English.
why the detected and used patch is 10.11.5 but my System is updated to 10.11.6 ?
Notebook HP EliteBook 840G3 FullHD
HP 2013 UltraSlim-Dockingstation (D9Y32AA)
4k Display ASUS PB287Q
It's either a typo or the signature for 10.11.5 and 10.11.6 are the same. Unfortunately I have no idea how to solve this problem.. I'll let you know when I think of something..
