app support for autocrypt in Flowcrypt? #940

Autocrypt https://autocrypt.org/ is a promising direction for disseminating end-to-end encryption in the email realm with high interoperability.

does Flowcrypt support autocrypt?

Hello,

there are two issues currently open related to Autocrypt: https://github.com/FlowCrypt/flowcrypt-browser/issues/1594 and https://github.com/FlowCrypt/flowcrypt-browser/issues/1411

We will not be able to find resources to address this in the next 6 months, and possibly in the next year ourselves. We however will gladly provide guidance and accept a contribution.

I'll close this issue as a duplicate, we can continue conversations in these issues. Of these two issues, sending autocrypt pubkeys outward is the easier one.

Sorry, I overlooked that this issue was filed for the Android app, but I referenced browser issues.

The stance is the same, except there are possibly even fewer resources available to us to address this on Android. On the other hand, since it's a native app, it allows for a more complete implementation.

We will support any external contributor who would like to add support.
