[ ] referencing an element in updateUi that doesn't exist doesn't throw an error
[x] throw an error when a progress value is passed that is greater than the max value for that indicator

calling generate on a machine with a storage type that is consumed by the machine (has the consumer.type) tag does not work (as expected) but doesn't throw an error (eg. generating energy on a machine that has consumer.energy)
