Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Commit 5916a9e2fd34823f97546c3770f563e600fda56d prevents multiple triggered workflows from interfering with one another. It'd be nice for us to be able to run multiple workflows in parallel though. Something that can be explored in either a headless or multi-tab way.

We can also probably get rid of most of the runner_slice file in favor of individual workflow-level components.
