  1. Rstudio (1.4) R (4.03) tidyverse (1.3.1) devtools (2.4.2) rrtools (0.1.5)

  2. Research compendium is a method of organizing your digital part of your project ( ex: code/data/protocol) , which allows other people to be able to follow, inspect, reproduce and extent the research.

  3. In a paper I published two years ago. Data were published but codes were not published. Data were published in online genomic sequence database, MG-RAST to be specific. They will need to rewrite and rerun the whole analysis, based on the method describe in the paper, which will be very challenging as no code was provided.

which allows other people to be able to follow, inspect, reproduce and extent the research.

Great description. I like that you mention these tasks individually because they're all distinct and the research compendium framework makes them easier.

They will need to rewrite and rerun the whole analysis, based on the method describe in the paper, which will be very challenging as no code was provided.

I would think so! How long do you think it took you and your co-authors to write the analysis the first time?
