[X] I give permission for members of the FlutterFlow team to access and test my project for the sole purpose of investigating this issue.
Current Behavior
1. Widget Interaction Delays: Dragging any widget is taking more than one minute, significantly hindering UI design.
2. Navigation Delays: Switching between pages is consistently taking 10-20 seconds.
3. Editing Issues: There are considerable lags when editing widget names or values, with frequent loss of focus during typing.
4. Preview Delays: The preview mode is extremely slow, often taking more than three minutes to select pages.
5. Overall Performance Issue: The platform is experiencing significant lagging that is not only affecting its performance but also making other Chrome pages unresponsive. This widespread slowdown is impacting my overall productivity.
Expected Behavior
I expected FlutterFlow to function as smoothly as it did prior to the recent update, without causing excessive resource usage on my PC. The current performance issues are unexpectedly draining system resources, which is a significant departure from the usual efficient operation I've experienced over the past three years.
Steps to Reproduce
Large Widget Tree Interaction: Attempt to scroll through a page that has a large widget tree in scrollable columns or add a new widget to an existing page to observe performance issues.
Widget Text Modification: Create a new page and add a text widget. Try changing the text value in the widget to evaluate responsiveness.
Project Duplication: Try creating a new project and import a complete page tree from another project. This action tends to significantly slow down the project.
Version-Specific Performance: Work on any existing project that has been updated to the latest FlutterFlow version (v5.0.0+ released on November 21, 2024). This update seems to drastically reduce project performance.
Reproducible from Blank
[X] The steps to reproduce above start from a blank project.
- FlutterFlow version: v5.0.0+ released November 21, 2024
- Platform: Windows 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700H
- Browser name and version: Chrome 131.0.6778.86
- Operating system and version affected: Windows 11 22631.4460
Additional Information
These issues appear to be specific to recently updated accounts. Testing on a teammate's account, which has not yet been updated, showed no such problems, suggesting that the update may be the cause. I have tried accessing FlutterFlow through different browsers (Edge, Mozilla) and the FlutterFlow Windows application, all resulting in the same performance degradation.
