Frustrating (if not buggy) way colour defaults work

when you add a conditional to at LEAST a container the default values and/or UI display value does NOT work as you'd expect.

You have to delete the variable in order to then set the default which is rather frustrating and I can't think of any reason why this would be the case.

UI builder values OR default variable values work as the display value
