It'd be useful to provide output in GTFS Realtime format - I'll be happy to help out there! ping @tbuckl - cool idea here for user-generated real-time info on public transport delays / service interruptions. Do you know of any similar open platforms?

I agree that supporting GTFS as output format looks very interesting. trip updates1 seem to be the candidate component we should focus some attention on, in the near future.
