  1. Topic or purpose in relation to helping Teacher. Creates a pipeline to translate slack messages into a definite calendar based timeline (extremely helpful, personally)
  2. Visual designs of what your topic will look like. Using design or drawing tool. Very detailed pipeline flow charts that include time/deadlines into the planning with kanban boards.
  3. Description of data that you will capture. Using table or UML tool. Included in the pipeline flow charts + kanban boards.
  4. Coding work you have done on spring_2025. Live designs using markdown on frontend. showed a working slack bot that appended to a database being run by the java backend server
  5. Evidence of research. I did not know that slack bots were even a thing so that was obviously a very novel concept that they found through research

0.9 - this is probably one of, if not the most useful and cool idea that other groups in our class have had. I really appreciate how it seeks to streamline one of the biggest inefficiencies that is in the class and make an end-to-end pipeline that patches that inefficiency without having to change the way the class is structured.

  1. Topic or purpose in relation to helping Teacher. Did very well here as it is extremely useful to help Mr. Mortensen have a calendar timeline and for his students to be organized and for him to enjoy their well done/timed/scheduled live reviews.

  2. Visual designs of what your topic will look like. Using design or drawing tool. Showed a detailed chart of times/deadlines with the kanban boards.

  3. Description of data that you will capture. Using table or UML tool. Used the kan-ban boards and drawings, and also made a nice flow chart.

  4. Coding work you have done on spring_2025. Live designs using markdown on frontend. Showed the slackbot appending all of the announcements to the database, which was pretty cool as I didn't know slack bots existed.

  5. Evidence of research. They have researched some of the options to convert the text into the calendar and knows about OpenAI having a cost for their API and the price. Showed also knowledge of slack usesage.

Overall: I would give this a 0.9, because apart from all the topics being covered extremely well, I think this is definitely something that can help live reviews for Mr. Mortensen and his students go much smoother, as people know the due dates, and different assignments that need to be completed. This way Mr. Mortensen wouldn't have to deal with people showing up without completing any work.

  1. Topic or purpose in relation to helping Teacher. Streamline Slack to calendar app to help with organization.

  2. Visual designs of what your topic will look like. Using design or drawing tool. Detailed chart with arrows that show how it goes from Slack to the kanban boards.

  3. Description of data that you will capture. Using table or UML tool. Flow charts that start with Slack at the top and the product at the bottom.

  4. Coding work you have done on spring_2025. Live designs using markdown on frontend. Did a live demo of a bot on Slack that took all announcements from Slack into the database.

  5. Evidence of research. They looked through their options for APIs such as OpenAI (and the price), the Slack API, and likely are developing their own API for frontend to backend communication

0.9 - This is a great project that helps with how it can be cumbersome to have to search the announcements channel to see what is due on the schedule. It is a direct place to see where what is due in the week can be found easily and efficiently.

  3. Description of data that you will capture. Using table or UML tool. Used kanban board to display their drawing and created a flow chart.
  4. Coding work you have done on spring_2025. Live designs using markdown on frontend. Did a live demo of the slackbot announcement to a database.
  5. Evidence of research. The researched some API's and are aware of OpenAI having a cost. They mentioned making their own API for frontend and backend. 0.9 - This is a good idea that helps students and Mr.Mortensen so his tasks are more organized. This helps student see what is due and so students are on schedule.
