Works in gnome but not i3wm

MasterGordon commented 3 years ago

Do you have a composite manager like compton or picom running

BlueLovin commented 3 years ago

Yes I have tried both, Compton is always running on my machine

makcuber commented 3 years ago

I have the same issue I think, the extension wont show up in the marketplace so I'm guessing VScode is filtering out extensions marked as incompatible with my window manager (i3 with compton)

Sogomn commented 3 years ago

Does show up in the marketplace for me but has no effect on transparency. Using i3-blocks and picom; transparency configured through the compositing manager works fine. No output in the VSCode console.

Same here, it was working for me up until a few weeks ago. I'm on endeavouros with i3wm, picom and vscodium

FF-AntiK commented 2 years ago

Same here, I'm on Archlinux with qtile, picom and code-oss.
