I am experiencing similar things with using PaperWM on Ubuntu 20.10. The window starts wide, but then continuously shrinks till it has the minimum width for that program. Like there's a scaling never ending loop. It also seems to re-launch the program a couple of times after I close it.
I suspect it's related to xfreerdp's scaling attribute? Are there any settings we can try?
Facing this issue too. BSPWM user. I can deal with shrinking windows by forcing them to be tiled and not floating, executing my "make tiled" shortcut each time they appears.
This is my temporary solution, but windows are ugly and I rather prefer a fix, if someone guessed a solution.
Id did not find a solution yet but i have the same problem on dwm.
Tested it with wordpad, the main window seemed to work fine and adjust accordingly. However, when a popup appeared, it started moving all across the screen and just started to shrink into nothing. Then the main window duplicates then next time I open it.
Overall, its just a really weird experience on a tiling window manager. Does this have something to do with my window manager itself? I'm using bspwm. And is this only meant for the traditional desktop environment? Is there a way to make it work properly with tiling window managers like bspwm?
Im also having another issue with the context menu:
The final issue that i'm having is the fact that it often freezes. Usually this happens after I focus on another window.
Although there are still few issues left to be solved (and thats to be expected with new software), I still greatly appreciate this software and has made tons of my friends be able to switch to linux. Thank you
I will try switching window managers and see if that will help.
