Icon on Dash to Dock misfuction after using WinApps #248

Open MJWootton opened 3 years ago

MJWootton commented 3 years ago

Whenever I use WinApps I find a problem with the dock occurs. The hit box for icons on the dock will not behave normally if there is a window behind them. Clicking on the icon will instead click on that window. This problem begins as soon as WinApps is used for the first time in a session and persists after it has been closed. Normal behaviour is only restored on restart — the problem cannot be resolved via alt+f2 + r for example.

I have the same problem with the COSMIC dock on Pop!_OS 21.04

It's a shame, because if not for this issue, I would use what is otherwise a very useful tool more often.

I think I'm having a similar/related issue. I'm running Cinnamon, and as soon as a Windows app is launched, the taskbar/panel no longer responds to hovering or clicking on it. It sometimes goes away after the windows app is closed, but usually it persists until Cinnamon is restarted. It's not a huge problem for me as I use alt-tab and Ulauncher more often than the panel anyway, but it would be really good to have fixed.

Edit: Desktop notifications can't be clicked either.

I also encountered this problem, the feeling of not being able to click is very bad. Is this problem solved now?
