Ecological Applications deadline extended to 8/30 (unofficially. Officially, 9/8 is the final deadline to submit while keeping the same manuscript number)
[ ] Clean up repository; make sure I can re-create figures from simulation results, etc. ~ 2 hours
[ ] Address minor comments (~6 hours)
Punt on more significant comments a bit. Focus on minor comments will let me re-familiarize myself with the paper, and let me ease into the revision process.
PEcAn / LDRD (20 hours)
PEcAn paper 2 -- rough drafts of sections (16 hours)
[ ] Rough draft (highlighted topic sentences) of PEcAn paper 2 introduction -- ~5 hours
[ ] Rough draft of core model execution workflow -- ~4 hours
[ ] Rough draft of RTM module -- ~3 hours
Other PEcAn administrative -- ~4 hours
Hector (12 hours)
[ ] Background reading -- ~6 hours
[ ] Exploratory analysis and visualization -- ~6 hours
It might be useful to set up another meeting with BK and Corinne sometime in the next 1-2 weeks to discuss the permafrost paper. In particular, I think we're approaching a good point for identifying a target journal and focusing the analysis and writing accordingly. I'm currently leaning towards either GMD or JAMES, and making the paper very explicitly about exploring the behavior of Hector, rather than trying to say too much about climate more generally (c.f. BK's Slack comment).
