Near Term Game Plan Post Annual FoRTE Meeting & Progress To Date

• [x] Get ED running on PIC
• [x] Contact Mathes about how they set up disturbances in the 2014 paper
• [x] Answer outstanding questions from the meeting (See https://github.com/FoRTExperiment/ed4forte/issues/4)
• [ ] Set up a UMBS run (right now the forest is “UMBS like”) We need to figure out if we are going to want to initiate with UMBS parameters or use end results from Alexey’s work

• Reviewed recently completed FoRTE tasks
• Discussed SEMS vs ED
• Decided to us the default ED set up (let it be known)
• Next steps
  • [ ] Set up the ED2IN files to use the UMBS soil information from AS GBC runs
  • [ ] UMBS run from initial conditions, not from a bare ground run
  • [ ] Read over the harvest mechanism code (both KD and BBL, KD can identify the specific modules of ED to take a look at)
  • [ ] Disturbance investigation, baseline vs niave harvest vs the C storage
