Originally primary fire lasers was orange and translicent, not bright yellow. it is still orange in software.
The secondary fire was designed that way that longer you charge it the stronger the beam became.. Currently in OpenGL it is always at maximum visibility. The software mode screwed it up to, reverting it behavior so the longer you charge it, the thinner the beam became. but that applies only before first ricochet. after it the beam sometimes draws at a maximum visibility, sometimes with reverted behavior
