in particular, it would be good to test it end-to-end & on Pi 4, AMD, and Nvidia GPUs -- I've only roughly tested it on Intel

worked to set up folk-beads. we could probably make an install script next

(it does drag in some Wayland stuff when you do the install from apt, but it doesn't make it run at runtime or make us use it -- the khr stuff all works fine this way -- I think the simplification to the install process is worth it)
