Yomichan takes a long time to load #1441

Not sure if it's the right place to ask. Lately, my Yomichan takes a long time to load each time I open a new tab or page in Chrome. Sometimes, I have to wait few minutes for Yomichan to be fully loaded. I can't look up words while I wait. It didn't exhibit this behaviour at the beginning. I'm wondering what are the possible causes for this problem, and how can I resolve it?

Can you export your settings file (from the settings page) and share it here?

Are you experiencing this issue on every tab, or only specific websites? Is there anything else that indicates to you that Yomichan is not fully loaded during the load time?

~I did notice a potential slow start on one webpage that was linked recently, but I haven't investigated it fully yet.~ This was a transient bug that was not in a release, so scratch that. (#1443)

Sure, here.

Yes, on every tab. When I click on Yomichan's extension icon while it's loading, I sometimes see the yellow exclamation mark on the icon, which indicates some kind of warning (nothing is popped up). At other times, the icon is unresponsive for a while (my other extensions work fine).

Could it be my browser's issue?

If you are still having the issue, can you try taking a screenshot of what the extension icon looks like when you see it has the badge? Additionally, try hovering your pointer over the button to see what the tooltip says.

I'm not noticing an immediately obvious issue with the settings after importing them. Maybe also try opening the settings page, opening the dictionaries window, and the clicking the Check Integrity button at the bottom, see what that does (might take a little bit to check all the dictionaries you have installed).
