Quick lookup issue #1593

Open almostgot opened 3 years ago

almostgot commented 3 years ago

Recently acquired kiwi browser and set up yomichan with four different dictionaries , set the scan option with "no key" option from the combo box But the quick lookup doesn't work when I'm on different tab reading novel or randomly search and Japanese word

It only works when I manually search the said word on yomichan's search bar and when I hold any random part of showed definitions it provides me with a quick search of the said word.

I'm curious, where did that copy of JMdict come from? It has different formatting than the one Yomichan Import generates

almostgot commented 3 years ago

It's actually self assessed derivative of the original , now regarding my issues do you have any ideas ?

Works just fine if I'm reading news on browser but it doesn't work with light novels basically .htmlz Files which I have downloaded for reading them on kiwi , need help or definite answer regarding this issue , thanks

Can you export your settings file and share it here?

If you're trying to use a local file, you may have to enable the Allow access to file URLs option from the web browser's settings for Yomichan (not Yomichan's settings).

almostgot commented 3 years ago

I enabled the URL access from extension settings , I was looking for solutions , and I found one The extension manifestation only accept the http links One solution is to Chang that to [all_urls] Also I don't know how do you export setting file from mobile?

toasted-nutbread commented 3 years ago

The extension should already support <all_urls>:

https://github.com/FooSoft/yomichan/blob/master/ext/manifest.json#L78

Also I don't know how do you export setting file from mobile?

The Export Settings button at the bottom of the settings page, it should save a file to your device somewhere.
