Yomichan-Anki connect not working #1906

So here is my problem. I have been using yomichan with anki-connect for creating cards just fine but for some reason after the update for ankiconnect the green plus button turned gray for all characters, both old and new one. I would like to add that i did not change anything at all as it was working wonderfully. I would appreciate some help, i heavily use this for my language learning.

Share your settings file here.

It's possible that your Anki field templates may be messed up somehow, so resetting that could fix it.

Thank you for your reply! Not sure i know what setting file you are talking about, could you please specify ?

  1. To export a settings file, go to the settings page > Backup > Export Settings and share the resulting file here (you may have to rename to a .txt or add to a .zip to upload it).
  2. Enable Advanced > Anki > Configure Anki card templates… > Reset Templates. Do this after exporting your settings file though, just so I can check to see if anything is broken there.

Can you also check the settings page and try two things:

  1. Make sure Anki is running.
  2. Open the Yomichan settings page.
  3. Under the Anki heading, make sure Enable Anki integration is enabled and the Connection status is Connected.
  4. Click Configure Anki card format… and see if there are any errors (they would be highlighted in red).

  1. Still on the settings page, enable Advanced
  2. Under the Anki header, click Configure Anki card templates…
  3. Run the test on {expression} and {sentence} to see if you get any errors.

If you don't see any errors there, there may be an issue on the AnkiConnect side. You may have to export your Anki profile data and share it, or enable logging on AnkiConnect and see if it shows any issues.

I haven't been able to reproduce the issue on my end, with the exception of a minor issue that affected the {sentence} marker in rare situations (#1919).
