Cannot export notes to Anki with the audio #2074

Hello,

I'm struggling with exporting exporting vocabulary to Anki if I have {audio} variable specified in one of the fields. If I change this to something else, it seems to work without an issue. To be specific, the "plus icon" gets grey'd out and I'm not able to press it.

I'm not sure if this is a known issue or it's something on my side. I couldn't find any other place where I could ask, so I thought I'd post it here as it might be a bug.

Thanks in advance.

Yomichan version: Yomichan 22.2.2.0 Browser: Brave Version 1.35.103 Chromium: 98.0.4758.102 (Official Build)

Yomichan settings json: yomichan-settings.zip

Operating System: Windows 10 (64 bit)

Additional info: I have also tested the plugin on the latest version of Google Chrome and the problem still persists. So I do not think it's a browser-related issue.

Can you export your settings file and share it here?

I edited the original post and attached the file there.

@toasted-nutbread I'm wondering. Is this issue likely on my end or is it something others have experienced as well? I will try to test it on a different device sometime today to see if it'll be any better.

@propretorian I also had the same issue Yomichan version: Yomichan 22.2.2.0 Browser: Brave Version 1.35.103 Chromium: 98.0.4758.102 (Official Build) Extension version: Yomichan 22.2.2.0 Platform: Linux Browser: Firefox 98.0 (64-bit) AnkiConnect version: 6 Installed dictionaries: Innocent Corpus, JMdict (English), JMnedict, KANJIDIC (English), Kanjium Pitch Accents, KireiCake Yomichan settings yomichan-settings-2022-03-13-10-35-23.zip somehow installing the extension on Chromium and reinstalling dictionaries made it work again on both browsers. Maybe some dictionaries don't "have/work well with" audio.

@propretorian The settings file you shared doesn't use the {audio} tag for any of the fields. Can you screenshot what your card format looks like in Yomichan's settings, or what you want it to look like?

@guidancedrone I didn't run into any issue adding audio to Yomichan using your settings.

@ both: can you share a screenshot of what an added card's fields look like in the Anki browser?

@toasted-nutbread My settings wasn't using the {audio} tag, as I had to change it, otherwise I cannot add anything to Anki. I should have specified that.

Here is how the my Anki Cards are configured when I try to add the card. image

And this is how the the phrases look like. As you can see, the plus button is grayed out and cannot be pressed. This problem goes away if I remove/replace the {audio} tag. image

I've also tried the suggestion by @guidancedrone, but that doesn't seem to fix it for me. Tried removing all the dictionaries and installing only JMDict, but nothing changes.

The audio field should not be the first field; the first field is used as a unique identifier, and {audio} cannot be used as one.
