Handlebars templates no working? #2198

I know that I am definitely doing something wrong this time around since I tried on multiple browsers and another device, and for some reason, it is not working. I also know the exact handlebars I am trying to use worked last time I installed it.

What I do:

  1. Install yomichan
  2. Install dicos
  3. Connect to Anki
  4. Change the handlebars settings
  5. Refresh the page
  6. Try to edit fields (emphasis on try since the fields I added don't show up)
  7. Change "note type" and "deck" to refresh the thing, and try again still to no success.

Trying to use the card format from animecards.site, if that helps.

Sure, there it is. Just to be sure it would be as clean as possible, the only dico currently installed is JMdict. Yomichan seems to connect to anki just fine, but the fields that the handlebars should add are nowhere to be seen. ;-; yomichan-settings-2022-07-12-15-59-43.txt

It looks functional to me, can you explain what you mean by the fields that the handlebars should add are nowhere to be seen? Can you share screenshots or a video of what you're seeing?

If you mean that your cards don't show the fields, then that means you need to configure your card format in Anki.

Tool> Manage Note Types > [select note] > Cards image

What I meant is that despite the template being modified, the fields don't appear when I try to modify the info that should be sent to Anki. The following is an image of my template window: image

But, when I try to add the "test" field, it simply doesn't show up in the dropdown list: image

I know that last time I set it up, I had to change the note type before the new field showed up, but it doesn't seem to be working this time around.

You have to manually type in custom templates.
