Seeking a more refined classification for grain products #128

Hi, I was looking for terms that distinguish grain products with fiber, especially soluble fiber, but encountered trouble finding these entries. I'm also interested in more detailed classifications of various grain products such as classifying them by fat content etc. I think the addition of these terms would greatly contribute to the integrity of FoodOn.

That sounds great (and glad to have you participating in the FoodOn curation team!). There are two ways to approach this:

Note there is a difference between the 'dietary claim or use' information / labelling entities and the foods that are material entities which the labels are about. That is why although we have 'high fibre food' as a label, we probably need 'high fibre food product' as a physical food entity to group products under.

We will discuss this in an upcoming FoodOn curation call.

Emily will do a gap analysis of what the fibre related hierarchy under "plant seed food product"
