In french computing systems, the default decimal separating character in numbers is a coma, no a point.
so when CaveConverter convert the number 5.6, in the svx file, it is written as 5,6.
then, when Aven/Survex reads is, it outputs an error.
Since survex files are plain text, I usually search and replace all "," by "."
It should be easier to have an option to write by default all numbers with a point (since both Toporobot and survey only read ".")
