Tentative Agenda and Event Description: Meeting Point: Forêt Capitale Forest signage will indicate the entrance of the pathway leading to the planting area.

Parking: There is free parking available at the Hog's Back Park Parking lot.
Terrain: Easy, flat. The park is universally accessible.
Amenities: Washrooms are available on site.
Notice of photography: By registering to participate in this event, you consent to your photo being taken or video of you being recorded during the event and used on social media and in Tree Canada and its partners' marketing materials.
What to wear and bring: Volunteers should wear and bring the following:
Water bottle Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots Long pants Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing Sunscreen Bug spray Hat This rain or shine event will take place unless the forecast calls for thunderstorms or very heavy rainfall.
The planting site is a park. Meeting Location: Hog's Back Park. Volunteers will participate in (digging holes; planting [trees, shrubs, other native plants]; watering; mulching; invasive species removal) The goal of this event is to afforest a greenspace along a Capital Pathway. The trees will be adding to the tree canopy in the area and increase biodiversity and link ecosystems. Tree care and maintenance activity of trees already planted will follow the planting to foster community forest stewardship to support the trees' survival. The species being planted are (native ). A brief agenda for the event is: 1:00-1:05 pm : Welcoming remarks from Tree Canada and Foret Capitale Forest 1:05-1:15 pm: Planting demonstration and safety instructions 1:15-2:00 pm: Planting activity 2:00-2:55 pm: Tree Care and Maintenance (watering, mulching, removal of competing vegetation, placing tree guards) 2:55-3:00 pm: Group Photo, tear down and clean up
