Mod Name Enhanced Lights and FX

Mod Link https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2424 - main mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/25498 - some fixes to fix weird shadows.

Why? It doesn't completely "black" everything out that doesn't have a light source and instead dims it a fair amount to make it dark, but visible and retain the detail so all those texture mods don't go to waste. It also gives a more cold look to lighting coming in from caves from the outside to match Skyrim's colder atmosphere. And if I'm being honest it just looks better overall when compared to ELE IMO. This also might make the 4(or 6, I cant remember)lighting limit less obvious in some locations, I personally have noticed less flickering/weird lighting issues when using ELFX instead of ELE on my own personal lists a while back.

Additional context

Make sure to not install optional weathers in the FOMOD might conflict with weather mods.

Here is a comparison for all the different main lighting mods. Pay attention to enhanced lighting and effects and enhanced lighting for enb. https://imgur.com/a/HVpyu It also has some unofficial patches for it to fix issues you might run across: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/5520 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18299

ELFX also has a "hardcore" option if you would like to keep the super dark interiors which still looks better than ELE. There is a weird bug with hardcore and the alternate start room and a fix for that can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34941

I would also recommend actually trying it for yourself instead of just looking at the screenshots. Put it as low as possible in the load order so it overwrites all other lighting mods to reduce flickering as much as possible.

I'll look into this, but switching from ELE to ELFX would likely require an absolute boatload of patching work - I've done a ton to incorporate ELE's changes. Let me ponder it for a bit.
