[Request] - Dummy printer with constant layer time #534

Hi, this is more a question or request, not an issue.

I use a Pi Zero with a Pi Cam to observe my Prusa SL1 (MSLA printer). https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3872789

Of course the Pi is not connected to the printer and Octolapse is not working.

My question is: Is there a way to set up a 'Dummy Printer' and activate Octolapse? The printer uses the same exposure time for each layer, I just need a setting to enter this 'layer time' that Octolapse knows when it can take the shot.

Hmm.. You could use the virtual printer (search for OctoPrint enable virtual printer), then use the 'timer trigger' to take snapshots on an interval. It might actually work (initially I didn't think it would).

Also, sorry for the delayed response. With the V0.4 version just dropping and work, I've been super busy.
