This migrates Clark’s a11y changes from https://github.com/FormidableLabs/nuka-carousel/pull/1031 to our v6 branch and slightly modifies the implementation to support our new Cypress tests and the refactored code in v6.

Before we publish a release, we will have a follow up PR for the docs.
