I noticed that the subplots in cpl_global were not consistent with each other. This was because the helpfile had a ragged format, where sometimes the number of columns in each row would change. This was because of extra columns being introduced by surface_gases, which had some debugging outputs being picked up by the PROTEUS helpfile stuff.
This is mostly a result of the ongoing/problematic way in which we manage output files and should be addressed properly.
This change simply comments-out the debugging variables, and therefore means that the helpfile is consistently formatted.
