Icon request: fa-play-rectangle

What can it be used for? Alternate version of youtube using a outer rectangle so it can be a non branded modern (in my opinion) version of play-circle.

Would suggest a name of play-rectangle plus would suggest matching icons for many of the other *-circle variations such as stop, replay, pause, etc.

I think that a better name for this request is fa-play-rectangle, I will use that name.

Please also keep in mind that you can achieve that icon with the power transforms, masking, and layering feature of the SVG Framework and Font Awesome Pro.

Of course with "fa-" prefix ... wasn't implying it shouldn't have it ... I was assuming it.

As to transform method, we have a context with an MFC app so css doesn't work out so well so preference is a direct icon so we don't need to think about context where it is being used.

This is a quick update to let folks know that we’re refining our icon request workflow behind the scenes, and as part of that we’re going through all open requests and filing them into several new buckets to be addressed.

In this case we’ve added this issue to our new list to be created! We can’t promise any firm timelines right now, but this will help us keep track of it.

We’ll update this issue when the icon is released into the wild 🙂
