4 years ago This is a common request for smart home users as well. A common use case is to stick a contact sensor on a mailbox to know when mail has been delivered (eg. the door has been opened).

2 months ago This is a quick update to let folks know that we’re refining our icon request workflow behind the scenes, and as part of that we’re going through all open requests and filing them into several new buckets to be addressed.
In this case we’re closing this issue because it already exists in Font Awesome Pro! Take a look at it here.

2 months ago While I certainly understand the approach of consolidating icon requests together or using some other format for tracking things, the icon you linked to does not reflect an open mailbox.
As such, I would recommend consolidating this as an open request in whatever new tracker you alluded to.

2 months ago Thanks for the feedback, @joshualyon. We had a lot of requests to get through, and a few errors were bound to happen.
What can it be used for? We use the mailbox icon to represent you have messages in your account. When you have read everything or have no messages I would like to show an empty mailbox instead of putting a number next to the mailbox. Thanks! You guys rock.
