Icon request: spray-paint-gun (industrial painting) #16104

What can it be used for?

Industrial painting in Construction and Automotive body repair tool.

I specifically added -paint- as a middle name since this icon would be specific to this use. So it won't be confuse with an eventual pepper-spray-gun or an other type of spray gun.

Here attached is my original SVG file fas-spray-paint-gun.svg.zip with all the shapes unmerged so it would be fast for you to start from this. fas-spray-paint-gun

My references :

We already have fa-spray-can and different types of gun related icons as insperation.

In this case, an important difference is that when comparing spray-can to (my proposed) spray-paint-gun we need to feel that the paint that is coming out is under more pressure then the can's bubble like circles. So it would be wise to illustrate the out coming paint as strokes instead of circles.

I used the following illustration from Alamy as a reference reference :

Here zipped together, I cleanded-up my original (Illustrator) file and added Solid and Light SVGO.

This is a quick update to let folks know that we’re refining our icon request workflow behind the scenes, and as part of that we’re going through all open requests and filing them into several new buckets to be addressed.

In this case we’ve added this issue to our new list to be created! We can’t promise any firm timelines right now, but this will help us keep track of it.

We’ll update this issue when the icon is released into the wild 🙂
