+1, about to spend 20 minutes making this with layers
This is a quick update to let folks know that we’re refining our icon request workflow behind the scenes, and as part of that we’re going through all open requests and filing them into several new buckets to be addressed.
In this case we’ve added this issue to our new list to be created! We can’t promise any firm timelines right now, but this will help us keep track of it.
We’ll update this issue when the icon is released into the wild 🙂
What can it be used for?
FA6 Pro has new gender-neutral icons for families — but the new icons assume families have two adults. However, in some application domains, e.g. health insurance, there is a meaningful distinction between families with two adults vs. families with one adult. Common employer-provided health insurance coverage tiers/levels include:
employee plus family
1 some plans combine 2 and 3 as "employee plus one" 2 some plans combine 3 and 4 as "employee plus child(ren)"
Anyway, FA6 has icons that would correspond to cases 1, 2, and 5 above but is missing icons for cases 3 and 4 above.
The example proposed below, with pants and dress variations similar to other family icons, could cover case 3 above. Imagine another variation with a second child added for covering case 4 above.
