What can it be used for?Crossref provides links between research objects on the internet and its mark is often found on academic articles (or data or methods or code) within the "how to cite this" section of a page, near a displayed unique identifier, and within reference lists. This icon in Font Awesome would allow the 16,000 scientific publishers using this method (for about 130 million articles) to easily display it when they link between related articles and it would be a big improvement in user experience for the researchers and students of the world. Note that it's already in academicons but needs updating there (see issue). The fa-orcid icon is present in Font Awesome (for scientific authors) which is great, and this is the equivalent for such authors' scientific works. Thanks!

Hi @tagliala, is there any update on whether this new icon request can be queued up soon? It is a 'brand' but it's also an icon used for scientific references across the web. Many thanks!
