How can I extend a WP theme icon set with additional free fontawesome icons?

Hello, Can you help me? For one of my WordPress-based websites, I use the ViewTube Theme, which includes the fontawesome icon set. https://themebing.com/shop/wordpress/viewtube-video-wordpress-theme/ How can I extend it with additional fontawesome icons? I inserted an extra line with the name of the desired free icon in the file provided by the template manufacturer. But unfortunately this is not enough, it does not work. What is the solution? @mlwilkerson any chance to provide some info here?

I think it's a third party using an old version of Font Awesome. Probably an upgrade to the official plugin and collision detection may work
