Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and other office icons

:)

micheleidesmith commented 9 years ago

+1 would be really helpful.

acshef commented 9 years ago

@micheleidesmith the fonts fa-file-word-o, fa-file-excel-o, and fa-file-powerpoint-o have existed since v4.1, see http://fontawesome.io/icons/#file-type

rogerramosme commented 9 years ago

Simple and good.

Awesome!

+1 (for application icons not file icons that already exists ;-))

tagliala commented 8 years ago

Could you please provide a list of all applications included in the office suite?

D4rkTiger commented 8 years ago

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Access, Groove, Skype Entreprise (old Lync)

I think that's all but if anyone think to one other 😏

tagliala commented 8 years ago

does Skype Entreprise have the same logo of skype? Please note that logo are square-ish and should suite 14px icon size at the best they can, so adding "for business" under the current icon is not a viable solution

acshef commented 8 years ago

Do OneNote and Sway count? And if you're including enterprise apps like Access, I'd also point out Visio.

D4rkTiger commented 8 years ago

Yes Skype Entreprise has the same logo of Skype.

Yes I forgot OneNote and Sway. Visio too but it is not in office suite in fact 😋

tagliala commented 8 years ago

I still need a full list of applications included in the office suite. You can take advantage of github's markdown

**Basic Applications**
- [ ] Word
- [ ] Power Point

**Enterprise Applications**
- [ ] Visio
- [ ] Whatever

Basic Applications

Enterprise Applications

D4rkTiger commented 8 years ago

Please find the list in github's markdown format

Only for the main apps would be enough I guess.

I'm going to leave this open, but this request doesn't meet our contributing guidelines 😐

  • Please do not request comprehensive sets of icons related to a very specific field.
  • Please make requests for single icons, unless you are requesting a couple of strictly related icons (e.g., thumbs-up/thumbs-down).

@D4rkTiger although the logo for skype for business is very similar to the normal one it's slightly different: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/89/Skype_for_Business_Logo.png it has an outline and a colored S while the normal skype logo has no outline just the area with the S cut out.

Hi, is this list of 17 Microsoft Office tools still valid?

I understand how icons of a commercial suit may be a legal issue. What if instead, have icons for the LibreOffice suite. I know it's not as popular as MS suite, but, that could make it possible to have more generic icons (for different office suits), and may be compatible with libre/open licenses.
