Pretty self explanatory, these guys did a good job of making them and I think it would be useful to include in the fontawesome library:

The request is valid, but those silhouettes will considerably increase the total font size. See #2953 #281 for further information

Renamed as country silhouettes

aryanduntley commented 10 years ago

Yes, I can see this being an issue for the root css file, however, maybe including an extra css file (countrysilhouettes.css) for those who wish to use. You could have a number of extra css files that include these heavier fonts and the user can choose to include them separately if needed (or exclusively). Just a thought. Thanks for the reply.

this is not an issue about the css file size but about the font itself (.eof,.woff/.ttf/.svg...), because those silhouettes have a lot of points

aryanduntley commented 10 years ago

I see.

I really need this! Can we add the flags of nations as well?

vergun commented 10 years ago

+1 for this, at least include the United States :!

Sorry I have to close this one because there are too many countries and those silhouettes have a lot of points which will noticeably increase the font size.

I should suggest you to consider an SVG solution

There are too many countries to add icons for a few of them, but there are not too many obscure websites to add icons for those. Apply the same standard and give each country an individual vote.
