Icon Request: fa-global-save #6515

Hi, I need an icon that represents saving globally (or system wide). I think this could be as simple as the fa-floppy-o icon mixed with the fa-globe icon in the corner but am not stuck on that design.

Use case:

  1. Saving filter conditions that would be set for all users for a map dashboard. This would go along side functionality to save filter conditions for an individual users map (this icon is not part of this request because the fa-floppy-o icon is sufficient).
  2. Saving settings that would be applied to an entire system.

This is a very specific icon. The request is ok, but I would advise for a custom build https://github.com/FortAwesome/Font-Awesome/wiki/Customize-Font-Awesome and you could also take a look here: https://github.com/nyon/fontawesome-actions

Thank you! It looks like either way I will need a custom build. Given the two icons are fairly complex to the eye I think I may just design my own icon. Thanks again for the quick response.

This is a quick update to let folks know that we’re refining our icon request workflow behind the scenes, and as part of that we’re going through all open requests and filing them into several new buckets to be addressed.

In this case we’ve added this issue to our new list to be created! We can’t promise any firm timelines right now, but this will help us keep track of it.

We’ll update this issue when the icon is released into the wild 🙂
