Icon request: icon-fabric-sample (fabric-swatch) #9083

symbol for samples of cut materials. Could be used in all shops that offer free samples of fabrics, carpet, wallpaper, ligaments ... We would need it in our shop for natural fiber fabrics. sample

Looks like an "icon-patch", which could also be used for a git patch.

Still don't like patch (it's too generic and could be confused with #4298)

What does sample actually represents?

The icon is a general symbol for "fabric" and shows a little piece of fabric that is cut out with a special scissors. Attached a picture how they look like in natur. If people buy fabrics or other material which are sold by running meter online, they usually can not return them, because they are cut of, thats why they can order a littel swatch to see the product before they buy it. In other icon-sets this symbol is just titled "fabric", but maybe one of this titles fit: fabric swatch fabric-swatch fabric-sample fabric-swatches

Hi, is this icon available already? I can not find it in the Font Awesome collection, but I would like to use it. Thanks

I think this icon is an interesting shape icon. A similar emoji is used as Emoji Modifier Fitzpatrick (🏻, 🏼, 🏽, 🏾, 🏿) but I don't know what is his Unicode character name.

This is a quick update to let folks know that we’re refining our icon request workflow behind the scenes, and as part of that we’re going through all open requests and filing them into several new buckets to be addressed.

In this case we’ve added this issue to our new list to be created! We can’t promise any firm timelines right now, but this will help us keep track of it.

We’ll update this issue when the icon is released into the wild 🙂

For the same category of icons it would also be good to have icon of leather. Usually this is done with sort of a cow skin outline.
