ForumPostAssistant / FPA

The Forum Post Assistant (FPA) script has been developed to assist Joomla!® forum posters to be able to post relevant system, instance, PHP and troubleshooting information directly in to a pre-formatted forum post. This will save a few hours of posting back and forth, asking for, and explaining how to acquire useful information in order for other forum users to help troubleshoot a problem.

Additional J5 Support #129

Closed RussW closed 2 months ago

RussW commented 7 months ago

Added J5 Minimum Requirements

Added "Check J5 Compatibility" link next to J Version check if J3/4 installed and J5 displayed as available

Updated "Confidence" rating to report an "F" if J5.0.0 installed but database doesn't reach minimum requirements (at J5.0 you could manually upgrade from J4 bypassing the DB version checks, this is fixed in J5.1 but people will be caight between a rock and hardplace with no idea why they get notified that J5.1 is available but it wont update)

Added New "Additional Findings/Notes" messages if server wont support J5

Added "Additional Notes" link to the dropdown in the header

Rebuilt the "Additional Findings/Notes" section to be a grid with alert messages

NOT TESTED ON MariaDB YET AS I CURRENTLY DONT HAVE THAT ENVIRONMENT AVAILABLE

Apologies for so many "white space" removal notices, didn't realise there was any white-space at the end of so many lines, my system automagically removes it

Thanks, Russ. If it were not for the fact that the forum moderators threw me out of the J! Forum a few months ago (with no prospect of review or reprieve) I would be happy to help.

I am sorry to hear that Michael, I didn't know (I don't visit the forum very often anymore, I use the FB Group and just started using Mattermost). My apologies for bothering you and potentially rubbing salt-in-the-wound, that was not the intention. Thank you for all your time, efforts and assistance through the years, I am sure there are many users that appreciate it, as does the FPA Project for your support and contributions over the years.
