Don't clear fields when changing shown fields

Feature description

When editing a contact, if you enter info in any fields, then change the shown fields, any info entered is erased. This should not happen, and enabling/disabling fields shouldn't clear any others.

Why do you want this feature?

To prevent entering contact info, sometimes in multiple fields, only to have it all wiped and have to do it all over again because after entering the info, you realize you need another field that's not currently showing and enable it, causing all newly entered info to be cleared.

It sounds like a bug, not a feature request. Please raise it once again as a bug, providing more details.
