Add a warning before moving/copying an entire folder? #137

Feature description

Could we get a confirmation warning that an entire folder has been selected before moving/copying?

Why do you want this feature?

I have 10 folders that Gallery manages. Three are for three different camera apps. I regularly select and move photos to different locations using Gallery.

I've made the mistake of absentmindedly selecting the folder thumbnail image (grid view) and then hitting 'move to' option, only to discover that instead of moving the single (thumbnail) image it's the enter folder of 2000 + photos.

I've done that at least twice and its a pain. (Also a simple way to cancel out of a currently-in-progress-huge copy/move would be good too)

Additional information

Thanks for taking up Gallery after Simple Gallery went rogue.

So same as confirmation warning for delete? And also it should be on in default?

And under file operation section? (should it be under file? file/folder? or?)

"(Also a simple way to cancel out of a currently-in-progress-huge copy/move would be good too)"

I think that should be its own feature request

Same as delete warning would be good. Having made the mistake I would definitely recommend on by default.

Yes putting it under File Operations seems good (if that's what you mean). Maybe phrase it like Always skip move-entire-folder warning] or something long those lines. Or whatever you think is best.

I'll open that now Edit: it's #138
