Feature description
Using the "password protect hidden item visibility" on my device (Pixel 6 Pro with stock Android 14) brings up the biometric fingerprint scanner as I would expect. However, Android keeps making the fingerprint scanner worse with every new update to the OS, and I'm finding that lately it's particularly terrible at recognizing my fingerprints. If I try too many times and fail, there is no backup method (such as a PIN) to access hidden files. I just have to wait until the biometrics time out. It would be a good idea to have a backup password method available.
Why do you want this feature?
Although not a problem with the app itself, the biometrics of the OS seem to be getting worse, or at least more fickle in my case. There should be a backup method of accessing hidden files in case the fingerprint scanner gets wonky.
