Feature description

Incognito Mode - Nothing what is being typed, is tracked or used for personalisation.

Why do you want this feature?

I love Incognito Mode from the Keyboard of FlorisBoard and I would love to have this for Fossify Keyboard too! Because what i type is my Privacy and needs to be protected.

Additional information

Fossify Keyboard doesn't do personalization so you are always incognito.

So you want me to just trust blindly? So why does for example FlorisBoard add this Feature? They could say the same? I don't agree on this.

So you want me to just trust blindly?

Not at all, the code is open source for a reason.

I just remembered that Fossify Keyboard does store your recently used emojis (offline) but I think emojis are harmless.

So why does for example FlorisBoard add this Feature?

They may have a feature that relies on what you are typing.

But that does not mean that the Keyboard is automatically not saving what I type...

Why not just incognito and no track at all? And no Emoji saving.

So why does for example FlorisBoard add this Feature?

Nope they have not.

The source code allows you to verify what the keyboard does and how. Fossify Keyboard doesn't save/track what you type, I would be more concerned about the app where the typing is done.

See https://github.com/FossifyOrg/Keyboard/issues/108#issuecomment-2488238810.

The feature list says otherwise: https://github.com/florisboard/florisboard?tab=readme-ov-file#highlighted-features

But the code does not show me, if what I did type, was being tracked. How should I believe that, when there is no incognito mode? The App I use to type could be the most secure, but when my Keyboard tracks what i type, then that does not make a difference.

See #108 (comment).

There is no 100% proof, only saying. Proof would be incognito mode or similar.

But did you think once before saying that, that this Features can be turned off from us as Users? Why would they track us, when they have incognito mode and value Privacy? Those Features are not indicates for anything, because if I never enabled and used them, then nothing was tracked. And even if I enabled them, it does not mean that they track from that.
