Why do you want this feature?

Improving workflow when sending SMS to a contact that has both a mobile and landline number

Is sending SMS to landline numbers really used?

Anybody can set any number under any field, so we can't filter out any specific field. Also, some carriers allow sending text messages to landline numbers, e.g. https://www.verizon.com/support/text-to-landline-faqs/.

I did not know you can send SMS to a landline.

I have no idea how the filter could be achieved, but QKSMS (abandoned) has it as an option... could you please reconsider it and have a look at how they did?

Fossify SMS is working fine and it seems here to stay, at least until everyone will ditch SMS
