Feature to show unread notification (number) badge like some other apps do (see screenshot below)

Why do you want this feature?

It is essential feature of any app that is based on communication with other people.

There's already a badge for unread notifications. What more do you need? Your feature request is too vague (that's why there are fields in the form you've removed).

@Aga-C If there would be a badge would I make this feature request? All the apps that does support badge with a number of unread notifications on my phone are shown on the screenshot. 'Messages' app is not there. What I should provide but forgot is my phone and android version, my bad. Edited first post.

Thanks for clarifying. At first, I didn't know whether you meant notification badges in general or just numbered ones.

As I remember, the app used to have numbered badges, so probably there's some regression. We will take a look into this.
