Badge Icon Doesn't Show Up When I Change App Icon Color

Steps to reproduce the bug

When I go to settings and change the icon color, the badges for new messages disappear.

Go to Settings
Click Customize colors
Click App icon color
Change color to desired color

Expected behavior

I expected the icon badges to stay there no matter what color I changed to.

Actual behavior

No badge numbers when getting a new message after changing the app icon color.

Please answer the following questions:

Do you mean that you see the badge but without number, or no badge at all?
Do you have this problem only immediately after changing the icon, or does it always occur after changing it once?
Do you use other Fossify apps and have that problem also in them?

No badge at all
Not sure but after I changed the app icon color, no badge at all.
Pretty sure this issue relates to only this app.

I just changed the color theme to light and the badge works now with the green color but didn't work having it a gray color. I asked a friend to send me a test message.

Hi! Are you using a third-party home screen launcher or the default one that came with your phone? Do you have Lock screen notification visibility set to Nothing like you did in this SMT issue?

No third party launcher, just the default launcher, and no lock screen using Android 10 on a cheap LG cell phone.
