I have a few suggestions that have been stirring in my head for a while.
Dinosaurs drop "dinosaur leather" for dinosaur skin items (clothing, items I haven't thought up yet, etc..)
Saddles should be required for riding dinosaurs, even if the dinosaur is listed as "rideable". Once a dinosaur is able to be mounted, you should first have to provide a saddle. This is common of other mods that have mountable creatures.
Scarab Gem items should have much higher durability + speed + efficiency than diamond.
I propose that you can only make diamond tools into scarab gem tools. Often I just use wooden tools with a scarab gem and it just seems so cheaty.
I've suggested this before I think, but in case I haven't.. scarab armor (separate from my full ancient armor suggestion).
Artifacts that you can dig up, fix with the archeology workbench, and then place for display purposes. This is all part of the whole "museum" concept that would be great for an archeology mod. Keep in mind that this is NOT a dinosaur mod in many respects.
The final suggestion was already mentioned in another ideas posting, which is still hopefully being looked at (despite being closed). Having areas on the surface that look different where fossils or artifacts might be located... rather than them all appearing underground deep in caves.
