What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Manually authenticate in browser with iChain web authentication.
Can now access https://my.<uni>.edu.au/nagios/cgi-bin/status.cgi without a
redirect to login page.
2. Setup plug-in settings:
Nagios web interface: https://my.<uni>.edu.au/nagios/
Status script: https://my.<uni>.edu.au/nagios/cgi-bin/status.cgi
3. Plug-in works as expected reporting "No problem" and also alerting on
service/host failures.
4. After a period of time the plug-in status bar indicates "Error".
Accessing the right-click menu option to goto Nagios brings up the correct
page.
i.e. No authentication redirect
5. If I access the settings menu and close it without changing anything the
status bar returns to "No problem"
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the plugin to continue attempting to access the Nagios URL even if
the iChain server becomes a bit flaky and does not respond properly.
At present the error condition does not fix itself. Instead I have to go to
the settings menu to enable proper alerting again.
I would like to understand why the plug-in cannot see the status page when
I can view it immediately in the browser.
How could I best being to debug this issue?
What version of the product are you using (Nagios Checker and Nagios)? On
what operating system?
Nagios Checker 0.12 on Windows Advanced Server 2003
Nagios 2.10
