Firefox 3.0.x consuming a lot of CPU when running Nagioschecker 0.13? #96

I have recently upgraded to Firefox 3.0.x (3.0.3 to be exact) on openSUSE
11.0 and running Nagiochecker 0.13.

I noticed that at times Firefox is consuming as much 99% CPU when
Nagioschecker is running the checks.

I did not notice this before with older versions of Firefox/Nagioschecker,
and I am wondering whether other people are experiencing the same thing
and how to get around this.

Thanks.

It looks like disk reads is also slowed substantialy when running the plugin:

/dev/sda:
 Timing cached reads: 1352 MB in 2.00 seconds = 676.13 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 44 MB in 3.02 seconds = 14.58 MB/sec

When I stop nagioschecker, it becomes:

/dev/sda:
 Timing cached reads: 1374 MB in 2.00 seconds = 686.99 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 192 MB in 3.07 seconds = 62.51 MB/sec

Any ideas what's wrong here? My system is almost unusable due to these
issues...
