Currently I have no plans to implement this because

plex pass users can use webhooks
non plex pass users can use the tautulli agent

This issue is being opened so that I can gauge interest in a non plex-pass, non-tautulli source for Plex using the api. If there is enough interest and a convincing use-case I'll implement it.
